Prince George has joined his father Prince William at day four of the second Ashes Test at Lord’s in London.
The young royal, dressed in a smart blazer and check shirt, sat next to the Prince of Wales in the stands while watching Australia take on England during the cricket series.
George, who turns ten later this month, tucked into pizza and enjoyed a refreshing cold drink in the English summer sun while his father animatedly discussed the match.
However, some royals fans commented on the fact that the young royal appeared to be squinting in the sun.
One wrote on Twitter: “Prince George needs some sunglasses, he is screwing up his eyes, sunshine is too strong.”
Another said: “Prince George needs to wear sunglasses as well as dad.”
It is not the first time George’s wardrobe at sporting events has attracted comments.
He looked uncomfortable and tense last July when he wore a suit and tie in the sweltering heat at Wimbledon.
At the cricket, the young royal seemed to pull similar faces to his father and they both appeared enthralled by the action.
One fan took to Twitter to say: “Seriously, these two mirror each other.”
Another added: “Like father like son.”
The young royal looked delighted when he was presented a replica Ashes Urn by Richard Thompson, Chairman of the England and Wales Cricket Board.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak joined the royals at Lord’s while actor and comedian Stephen Fry shook George’s hand during a break.
Prince William appeared to be enjoying his solo day out with his eldest son, who regularly joins him to watch soccer matches.
The father and son are avid Aston Villa fans and are often spotted in the stands when their team plays.
George ’s mother, the Princess of Wales, and his younger siblings Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, five, did not attend.
It comes amid a sighting of Prince George and his parents at Eton College last week.
The future king could soon become a pupil at the prestigious boarding school, following in the footsteps of his father William and uncle Prince Harry.
After the Wales family relocated from Kensington Palace to Windsor in 2022, George and his siblings moved from St Thomas’ Battersea school to Lambrook Prep.
