Known for pulling the very best funny faces in the royal family, Prince Louis did not disappoint when he helped honour WWII veterans at VE Day commemorations.
Together with his siblings, George, 11, and Charlotte, 10, seven-year-old Louis delighted in a the traditional Red Arrows fly-past which they watched together with their grandfather King Charles, Queen Camilla, parents Prince William and Princess Catherine as well as Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, Princess Anne, Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.
In addition to waving to the crowds from the Buckingham Palace balcony, the royals also took part in a ceremony at the Queen Victoria Memorial to commemorate 80 years since World War II ended in Europe.
Later, the family welcomed veterans to the palace for a special tea party.
It’s been a big week for the young royals who also the tenth birthday of little Charlotte.
A new portrait of Princess Charlotte was released by the Prince and Princess of Wales in honour of the milestone.
The image of the young royal, the third in line to the throne, was uploaded to Instagram on Friday and shows the ten-year-old beaming while enjoying the outdoors.
The photo is captioned, “Happy 10th Birthday Princess Charlotte!”, with a love heart as many followers flocked to leave their remarks in the comments.
“Omigoodness her father’s daughter,” one said.
Another also suggested she looked like her father, William: “Happy Birthday Princess Charlotte! Looks just like her father”.
Charlotte’s big day comes as the Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary this week.
The royal couple went to the Isle of Mull, off Scotland’s west coast, where the pair, who tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011, were seen beaming from ear to ear as they arrived in the picturesque coastal town of Tobermory.
