Prince Harry is feeling “bored” with life in the US and is missing his friends more than ever, a royal expert claims.
The royal is becoming increasingly isolated due to losing contact with old friends as they don’t like Meghan Markle, author Tom Quinn said.
“Harry is increasingly bored and looking back across the Atlantic where most of his army and school friends still live and whom he never sees because they won’t visit him in the States because they find Meghan difficult,” Quinn told The Mirror.
The author said the pair are under great strain and Meghan feels she is “under siege” due to public ambivalence about her various new ventures, including her upcoming Netflix show, which focuses on gardening and cooking.
“There is a growing rift between Harry and Meghan caused by Meghan’s increasing concern that her life is not going in the direction she had planned,” Quinn said. “She loves media attention and hates the fact that surveys suggest she and Harry are no longer of much interest to the American public.”
Since stepping down as a senior member of the British royal family four years ago, Meghan has tried her hand at a number of projects with varying degrees of success.
“With news that the couple’s Netflix contract may be under threat, along with the mockery that greeted the launch of her online brand, Meghan feels very much under siege,” Quinn claimed.”
It came amid claims from respected historian and biographer Hugo Vickers that Prince Harry will eventually return home back to the UK.
He said he believed the wayward Harry will return to the royal family — but alone and in a decade’s time.
He told The Sun: “I think he’ll come home. If he comes home, it will be very nice for him, because he won’t particularly want to, he’s quite angry I think.
“The King, as I have mentioned before, has left the door wide open for him to do that.
“And he was doing such a good job before…he looked so happy.
“Usually you’re happy when you’re doing your duty, and you’re doing it for other people, and you’re putting things into life.
“I personally think he’s [Harry] petrified of losing her [Meghan] and looks slightly petrified of her to be honest,” he claimed.
Vickers said he was still “disappointed” the pair had left the UK, saying they had been given opportunities to follow their own path by the royals before they stunned the world with their shock departure.
“What is terribly sad is the late Queen gave them the whole of the Commonwealth to explore. “William and Catherine would do the home things and the Commonwealth - to which they were both committed [would be Harry and Meghan’s].”
“We were told last year that he [Harry] was feeling a little homesick.
