The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s three-year-old daughter has barely been seen in public since being born in California back in 2021 – and details about her have also been thin on the ground.
But according to a friend of Meghan’s, Princess Lilibet – the younger sister to the couple’s UK-born five-year-old son, Prince Archie – has officially entered a new phase in her life.
Chef Adrian Lipscombe revealed that the duchess shared a rare tidbit about her daughter during a recent conversation – that the little girl has (rather ironically, given her title) entered a “princess phase”.
The rare nugget of Lili information came as Lipscombe leapt to Meghan's defence after the trailer for her series, titled With Love, Meghan, was skewered by Eater, who published an article titled: “I’m Already Bored by Meghan Markle’s New Netflix Cooking Series”.
Sharing a picture of the story on Instagram, Lipscombe asked: “How are you going to criticise someone or judge a TV show before it has even aired?”

Describing Prince Harry and Meghan as “some of the most down-to-earth people I’ve ever met”, the chef explained that she bonded with the duchess over having young daughters.
“We talked about our families (mostly about our daughters being in their princess phase and the movies they love) and, of course, about food,” Lipscombe went on.
“She didn’t rush the conversation, even though I was taking up her time. She was gracious, engaged, and kind.”
She finished up by directly requesting a retraction by the food publication.
“ … Take the time to get to know the people you’re covering, their intentions, and the context behind their projects. The food world deserves better. Meghan deserves better. And frankly, we all do.”
The duchess’ new TV project will premiere on Netflix on January 15, and is expected to coincide with the long-awaited launch of her new homewares brand, American Riviera Orchard.

The first trailer for With Love, Meghan dropped last week on her newly-activated Instagram account, and featured snippets of the upcoming eight-episode series, including appearances by some of her famous friends, such as Mindy Kaling and former Suits star, Abigail Spencer, as well as several chefs.
In the highly-produced and slick two-minute teaser, Meghan explained that she’s “always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it”.
“Surprising people with moments that let them know I was really thinking of them,” she added.
“I’m going to share some little tips and tricks. I see what colour I gravitate to, and everything goes from there. And how you incorporate these practices every day.
“This is about connecting with friends. I love that we’re doing this together for the first time. Making new friends. and just learning.
“We’re not in the pursuit of perfection. We’re in the pursuit of joy.”
As well as whipping up meals in the kitchen, the sneak peek showed clips of Meghan browsing flower arrangements at a florist, walking through vegetable patches and fields, and even trying out beekeeping.
