Meghan and Harry’s celebrity neighbour tells them to ‘f*** off and shut up’ in blunt interview

The couple’s famous neighbour has raged against the “spiteful” duo in a shockingly blunt interview with a London newspaper, as preparations for the coronation launch into full swing.

Harry and Meghan’s coronation decision was a ‘no-win’ for the Sussexes

The celebrity neighbour of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry has let loose in a blunt interview, telling the controversial duo to “just f*** off and shut up”.

Sex Pistols rocker John Lydon, who was the band’s front man from 1975 to 1978, raged about the couple in a blunt interview with British newspaper The Telegraph.

The 67-year-old British expat lives in Malibu, less than 100km from the Sussexes’ sprawling mansion in Montecito, on California’s Pacific Coast. He said the couple couldn’t have it both ways, building public profiles despite repeatedly begging for privacy.

“If you want to be normal and outside of [the Royal Family], then f*** off,” he said.

“Just f*** off and shut up.”

Considering the Sex Pistols’ most famous track is the anti-monarchy hit ‘God Save The Queen’, which has been described as an assault on the late Queen Elizabeth II, Lydon’s comments raised more than a few eyebrows. However, their behaviour appears to have struck a chord with the singer, who said he’s chosen not to air his dirty laundry.

“I’ve had to make decisions like that in the past... a couple of times when the situation was unstainable. And if that was their dilemma then please go away, alright?”

The singer also said he’s not a fan of kiss-and-tell books.

“They’re very, very spiteful to families and friends.”

It has been confirmed that the estranged prince will attend his father’s coronation at Westminster Abbey on May 6, while his wife and children will stay in California.

Royal experts say the invitation was a “no-win” situation.

TalkTV Royal Editor Sarah Hewson claimed they would have been accused of “stealing the spotlight” had the Duchess flown to the United Kingdom for the ceremony.

“I think Charles will be sad not to be seeing Archie and Lilibet and not to have Meghan there,” she said. “Don’t forget he gave her away on her big day, but they have reached a compromise and at least he will have his son there which is very important to him.”

Others argue that the decision for the Duchess to stay home is the biggest hypocrisy yet.

The Sussexes are clinging so their titles, despite quitting The Firm, raking in millions thanks to a media spree that began with an exclusive Oprah Winfrey interview in 2021.

They hit paydirt with the premiere of a six-episode Netflix series Harry & Meghan in December 2022 and Prince Harry’s record-breaking book Spare in January 2023.

The couple announced in March they would be using royal titles for their children as well, publicly calling their daughter a princess for the first time after her christening.

However, some commentators say the decision not to attend makes their regard for the British monarchy clear, arguing the couple should not be allowed to retain their titles.

Although it has been confirmed that the Prince will attend the coronation, he’s no longer a working royal, which means he won’t participate in an official capacity.

It’s also expected that he will be absent from the Buckingham Palace balcony, where the senior royals will greet the public and pose for photos after the ceremony.

After that, he’s expected to fly straight back to the United States. Maybe he will take Lydon’s advice?
