When asked about being physically far from his father during this time, Prince Harry said, “I have my own family, as we all do.

“My family and my life in California is as it is. I’ve got other trips planned that would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can.”

Prince Harry spent just 24 hours in Britain for a brief 30-minute meeting with his father.

The reunion marked father and son’s first in-person meeting since the coronation ceremony in May 2023, for which the Duke of Sussex also made a similarly quick solo trip to the UK.

During his quick visit to Britain, he reportedly did not see his brother Prince William or sister-in-law, Princess Catherine, who is recovering from abdominal surgery.

Royal insiders suggest that the brothers remain estranged after a string of criticisms made by Prince Harry about his family during an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, the publication of his memoir, Spare, and a Netflix docuseries.

In the Good Morning America interview Prince Harry also opened up on his life in America and whetherhe will become an American citizen.

He said he had “considered” getting American citizenship, but that he does not “feel” American.

“The American citizenship is something that has crossed my mind,” he said. “But it is not a high priority for me right now.”
