Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez have already tied the knot in the US after signing a multimillion-dollar prenup, according to Page Six, citing different sources.
The happy couple, who have organised a $US10 million ($15m), three-day wedding spree, have not registered to tie the knot in Venice.
The Post reports sources say they were legally married ahead of their lavish ceremony on Friday on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore.
“Often a marriage in a foreign country is not valid in the USA, or creates other issues, so yes it is likely they are already married,” said one renowned Florida-based lawyer.
Another Italian source confirmed to us they have legally wed before their big ceremony on Friday.
City officials told The Times of London the couple did not make an official request to wed in the Floating City, which is required under Italian law.
“I can totally rule out that they will have a civil ceremony in Venice under Italian law,” an official said.
Reps would not confirm whether Amazon founder Bezos, 61, who is the world’s third richest man, and Sánchez, 55, have already had a civil ceremony.
Meanwhile, three prominent divorce attorneys told The Post they were aware that Bezos and Sánchez – who live mainly in Miami, Florida, where Bezos bought three homes on the exclusive Indian Creek island – have signed a huge prenup.
The couple were seen en route to a welcome dinner in Venice on Thursday night with a hist of celebs including Kim Kardashian, Leonardo DiCaprio and Oprah Winfrey.
Usher was also spotted arriving as well as luxury fashion designer Domenico Dolce.
Earlier, Orlando Bloom greeted Kim Kardashian in Venice amid speculation he and Katy Perry have split after 10 years together.
The 48-year-old Lord of the Rings star warmly greeted the reality star with air kisses after arriving in Venice.
People magazine reported on Thursday local time that Bloom and the pop superstar have split for good. The actor was seen in Perth earlier this week with the couple’s four-year-old daughter, Daisy, before flying to Italy. Perry is currently finishing up her Australian Lifetimes tour.
Bloom wore a black tank top and matching shorts while chatting with Kardashian, her sister Khloe and mum, Kris Jenner.
Kim showed some skin in a black Balenciaga skirt and bandeau top, completing her look with an unzipped jacket and sunglasses.
They are expected to join about 200 guests who have been invited to the festivities, including famous actors, singers and high profile business people.
Oprah Winfrey and BFF Gayle King were spotted arriving in Venice on Thursday local time as was American football legend, Tom Brady.
Queen Rania of Jordan also arrived while billionaire Barry Diller, who recently came out as gay, was spotted although there was no sign of his wife, fashion designer, Diane von Furstenberg.
Ivanka Trump, her husband Jared Kushner and their three children arrived on Wednesday local time.
Sources also told media that Microsoft boss, Bill Gates, Rolling Stones legend, Mick Jagger are on the guest list.
Bezos and Sanchez arrived in the water city on Wednesday local time.
The couple were photographed getting out of their helicopter in style and being helped into a water taxi.
Sánchez looked chic in a sleeveless black dress, sky-high stilettos and sunglasses, while Bezos wore white pants and a black polo.
The two were clearly in good spirits, smiling and waving at onlookers in their water taxi.
Sánchez was also snapped with a big smile on her face as she was being escorted into a tent by security.

The happy couple’s arrival comes after their wedding party had to be moved to a more remote part of the city of water following protests and security concerns.
Reuters reported that a wedding party for the power couple was “moved to an isolated, less accessible part of the lagoon city on security concerns and to prevent the risk of protests,” according to their sources.
They’d reportedly originally planned to hold the fete in Cannaregio, but changed plans in light of protests held by groups under the banner of “No space for Bezos,” who’ve threatened to throw themselves into canals and block streets to shut down the wedding due in protest of tourism.
