John Goodman injured while filming Tom Cruise movie

Production has been halted on the London set of Tom Cruise’s latest movie after beloved actor John Goodman was hurt in a shock incident.

John Goodman has suffered a hip injury while filming a new film in London alongside Tom Cruise.

TMZ reported that the worrying incident occurred at the famed Pinewood Studios, outside London, where the Roseanne actor was filming the latest movie by renowned Mexican director Alejandro G. Inarritu.

A source said the 72-year-old star “fell” while on set, but clarified that he was not performing a stunt at the time, the New York Post reports.

Filming on the Warner Bros film was halted for two days after the incident, Deadline reports.

Goodman is expected to make a full recovery, according to the source.

The Big Lebowski star is slated to resume shooting on the untitled new movie next week.

The project also stars Jesse Plemons, Michael Stuhlbarg, Sandra Huller and Riz Ahmed.

The untitled film, which began production late last year, is Oscar winner Inarritu’s first English-language film since The Revenant.

A plot synopsis reads: “The most powerful man in the world causes a disaster and embarks on a mission to prove that he is the saviour of humanity.”

Goodman, who splits his time between Los Angeles and New Orleans, recently lost his Pacific Palisades mansion in the devastating LA wildfires.

The star has shed over 90 kilograms in recent years by cutting out alcohol and sugar from his diet and taking up boxing.
