The radio host has set the record straight after her colleagues wondered about the nature of her relationship with Pip Edwards.

Jackie “O” Henderson was forced to set the record straight after her colleagues were left speculating about the nature of her relationship with Pip Edwards.

The radio personality was grilled about her friendship with the Aussie designer on Friday morning after they shared a seemingly “sexual” exchange on Instagram following Edwards’ guest appearance on The Kyle & Jackie O Show yesterday.

“There were some rumours last night after the Pip Edwards situation, that you and her are now lesbians,” executive producer Pedro Vitola told Henderson on-air.

“You were up at midnight commenting on stuff saying, ‘Love you, Pip. I’ll always water your rose.’”

For context, yesterday on her show Jackie invited Pip on as a guest and thanked the P.E. Nation designer for helping her get out and about more.

“I’m living life and Pip knows how to live life, let me tell you,” Jackie said on-air in a clip later posted to the show’s Instagram page. “Pip’s come into my life at a really good time.”

In the comments section, Pip then wrote: “Love you so so much @jackieo_official yes to living life !!!” to which Jackie responded, “Love you P - I’ll always water your rose. Actually that sounds kind of sexual.”

The radio host was quizzed live on-air.

Kyle was still left confused this morning and asked Jackie to explain herself and the comment.

“Don’t water the weeds, water the roses. You know?” she said of her metaphor.

“It means don’t give your attention to something that’s not serving you. Water the roses instead, not the weeds.”

The fast friends celebrated Jackie’s 49th birthday in January …

… before going to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour together in February.

During her Thursday appearance, Pip indeed only had nice things to say about their new-found friendship.

“There’s something to say about finding a friendship later in life. You know what you are looking for and what you stand for,” she told Kyle and the crew.

Jackie then laughed, saying it sounds like we’re “coming out as lesbians”, but Pip was unrelenting in her praise.

“She’s consistently Jackie the whole time,” she continued. “When I see her being inundated with fans, she is so lovely and gives everyone her time. She really does give it back and it is really beautiful to watch.”
