‘I have never followed trends’: Supermodel Miranda Kerr on pregnancy, business and her marriage to Evan Spiegel

Aussie supermodel Miranda Kerr has opens up about her life in Los Angeles with Spapchat billionaire husband Evan Spiegel – and the next phase of her beauty empire.

EXCLUSIVE. Miranda Kerr has opened up about being pregnant with her fourth child, saying her home life is “organised chaos” as she reveals the next move for her business.

“[Being] 40, pregnant with baby No. 4, it’s a wonderful time in my life,” the KORA Organics founder said.

“I feel a lot of gratitude, really.”

The Australian-born supermodel is expecting a baby boy with her husband, Snapchat billionaire Evan Spiegel, 33. The couple – who married in 2017 — are already parents to Hart, 5, and Myles, 3 – and Kerr shares son Flynn, 12, with her ex-husband, Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom.

Kerr described life raising her brood, in the affluent Holmby Hills, as “organised chaos”. “There’s quite a lot going on, never a dull moment between kindergarten drop off, preschool drop off, now Flynn is in Grade 7 – it’s all happening. And I am pregnant.”

“My husband is growing his business, I’m growing my business, luckily we’re both … homebodies, so we really enjoy being with our family at home, spending time together,” she said.

“It’s important to take that time together leading such busy lives as it is, with the kids and with our businesses, it’s important to have time for the two of us as well.

“I make sure we do date night once a week.”

Opening up about her pregnancy, Kerr said she is “craving a lot of citrus, grapefruit and freshwater with lemon”.

“With one of the boys, I craved apples, another frozen yoghurt – and now I am craving oranges. With another one, I was like, ‘please give me a burger!’”

Meantime, Kerr reflected on how the modelling industry had changed since she started at 13-years-old. “It was very different – there wasn’t social media at all when I started modelling,” Kerr said.

“We didn’t have that extra pressure that I am sure a lot of the girls feel these days.

“There was a lot of rejection and a lot of jobs that I got. I never took any of it for granted.”

Meantime, Kerr is preparing to launch the latest product from her skincare line KORA Organics, Plant Stem Cell Retinol Alternative Moisturiser ($88) – released online tonight.

“From day one, I have followed my intuition – still, to this day, I haven’t taken a cent out of the company,” Kerr said, of launching KORA in 2009.

“We’re growing [as a business]. For me, it’s not about making money – it’s more about having these products available to people.

“People are becoming much more aware of what they are putting on their skin.”

“I have never followed trends, so to speak. I have really only started looking at what’s happening outside of us in the beauty world, it’s only been the last couple of years. Prior to that, I was making products that I felt were intuitively necessary. We have a lot of momentum”.
