‘Suspected’: Hugh Jackman’s ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness ’hurt’ by cheating claims

After Deborra-Lee Furness ‘liked’ a social media post that took aim at her ex, it appears their once amicable split is anything but.

After Deborra-Lee Furness fuelled speculation regarding Hugh Jackman’s alleged affair by “liking” a social media post, a source has claimed the move was intentional.

British actress and photographer Amanda de Cadenet appeared to make the bombshell claim in the comments section of an Instagram video alleging Jackman left his wife for Foster after the pair fell in love while starring together in The Music Man on Broadway.

Furness then liked the remark, which claimed that the video was “on point”.

Now, an insider has claimed Furness made the move because she has been “hurt” by her ex-husband’s “dishonesty”.

“She has suspected Hugh of cheating on her and he adamantly denied it over and over,” the source told Daily Mail. “This is what would hurt the worst.

“They based their marriage on honesty. But if Hugh didn’t physically cheat, she knows that he did emotionally. She wasn’t going to be the one to break anything or say anything and she still won’t be speaking out.”

The source added: “Her liking a simple post is the most subtle thing she could do that would have the greatest impact and it cannot be proven in any way shape or form that it was a jab to him. It’s left up to interpretation.”

Jackman, 56, and Foster, 49, were both married when they began starring in The Music Man in 2021. The show closed in January 2023.

In September 2023, the Deadpool & Wolverine star and Furness, 68, announced their separation after 27 years of marriage. They share two children who were adopted.

In October, Page Six exclusively reported Foster filed for divorce from her husband, Ocean’s Eleven screenwriter Ted Griffin, after a decade of marriage.

That same month, an insider told Page Six that she and Jackman are “in love” but keeping their romance under wraps.

Another source previously said they are “100 per cent together and are in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together.”

In 2022, the Younger star raved about Jackman in an interview with Vogue as she recalled how they quickly became close friends while working together.

“He has an impeccable reputation of being the hardest-working man, incredibly kind, and generous — and all of that is true,” Foster gushed.

“He disarms everyone, and he doesn’t make anything about him,” she added.
