Deborra-Lee Furness had “suspicions” about ex-husband Hugh Jackman working with Broadway star Sutton Foster in The Music Man, it has been claimed.
It comes amid renewed rumours of a romance between the pair following Foster’s split from her screenwriter husband, Ted Griffin.
“Deborra-Lee had her suspicions when Hugh started working with Sutton,” a source told the Mail Online. “Their relationship is not a secret to her.”
Furness is said to have had concerns about the pair teaming up for the Broadway production in 2022, which came a year before Jackman announced the end of their marriage.
“Deborra-Lee wants to be left out of this narrative,” the source said. “She is not going to address this or speak against Hugh.
“When they divorced, they agreed to keep everything that happened during their marriage private.”
Foster and Griffin were married for ten years. The pair share a seven-year-old daughter, whom they welcomed via adoption, the New York Post reports.
In Touch magazine previously reported in December 2023 that Jackman was “romancing” Foster, who also starred in the TV series Younger.
The pair played to packed houses with Foster as Jackman’s leading lady during their Broadway run and were photographed together at events.
According to the New York Post, citing multiple sources, Foster, 49, and Jackman, 56, have fallen in love.
“They are 100 per cent together and are in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together,” a source previously said, according to the publication.
“They are still together.
“They go out of their way to hide it, but it’s common knowledge.”
Jackman filed for divorce from Australian actress Deborra-Lee Furness, who he had been married to for 27 years, in September 2023.
Furness and Jackman released a joint statement saying: “We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”
A representative for Jackman in Sydney has been contacted for comment.
