Kyle Sandilands celebrates son Otto’s first birthday with jungle-themed bash costing $25,000

No expense was spared when Kyle Sandilands’ son Otto celebrated his first birthday party, with the radio host spending big bucks for the lavish event.

Kyle Sandilands and his wife Tegan have splashed a cool $25,000 on their son Otto’s first birthday party.

The over-the-top celebration was held at the celebrity couple’s Bellevue Hill mansion in Sydney on Saturday afternoon, with Sandilands’ famous friends such as John Imbrahim and Jackie “O” Henderson invited to the lavish event.

Henderson, who is Otto’s godmother, arrived looking stunning in a white floral-print midi-dress, later posing for photos with Tegan and the birthday boy.

“Big day for little Otto!!” Henderson captured the photo. “Happy 1st birthday to my beautiful godson.”

Although the guest list was intimate – only 60 people were invited – there were decorations galore at the jungle-themed bash, including a ‘rumble in the jungle’ jumping castle, seven-foot giraffe and a massive sign that read: “Otto’s jungle.”

There was also entertainment for the children with a Mickey Mouse impersonator and jungle rangers on hand for the festivities.

Otto is Sandilands first child and the radio host spared no expense marking his big day.

During The Kyle & Jackie O Show this week, he revealed he was due to splash $25,000 on the party.

“It’s only $25,000. It’s a watered-down type of party,” Sandilands said on air, adding that his wife spent money on “the lollies, the bonbonniere, and the plates and all these weird tablecloths. These are eight foot tablecloths.”

Sandilands is known to spend big when it comes to milestone events. For his wedding to Tegan back in April, he reportedly dropped a whopping $1 million for the event.

There were balloons galore at the lavish bash.

The pair were married at a heritage-listed mansion in Sydney’s Darling Point and celebrated with light installations and fireworks.

The radio host’s honeymoon was just as extravagant, with Sandilands spending a whopping $500,000 on the trip.

They enjoyed a lavish three-week getaway in the south of France and Spain, with baby son Otto and his nanny, multiple employees of The Kyle and Jackie O Show, and Henderson along for the ride.

As revealed on air, the return first class flights alone cost $35,000 for he and Tegan, $12,000 for car rentals and $25,000 for “ground transfers”.

“I can’t believe … the amount of money you’ve spent on certain things blow(s) my mind,” Henderson said on air.
