Daughter reacts to actor Idris Elba’s Calvin Klein ad

The daughter of a famous British actor has gone viral online with a reaction to her superstar dad’s latest Calvin Klein ad campaign.

The daughter of British actor Idris Elba has reacted hilariously to her superstar dad’s billboard for underwear company Calvin Klein.

Elba’s 22-year-old daughter, Isan Elba, posted a video of her response to the ad campaign on Tik Tok, telling her followers: “I think this counts as an original experience.”

The video showed Elba pretending to scream in horror as she noticed her dad’s picture had replaced the former face of Calvin Klein, actor Jeremy Allen White, on a billboard in New York City.

“When they replace the pictures of Jeremy Allen White with your dad,” Elba captioned the lighthearted TikTok.

The younger Elba added dramatic music to the video with the 1964 Charles Aznavour classic Heir Encore – which translates to Just Yesterday in the song’s original French – playing as the backing track for her 70,000 followers.

The comments left by her followers arguably outshone the video itself, with many confessing to having crushes on her dad.

“Tell your dad I want him,” one follower boldly commented.

“You guys accepting applications for a stepmum?” another asked.

“Tell your daddy I said heyyyy (louder than everyone else),” a third person responded.

Elba has endured years of living in the public eye with a popular father.

When People Magazine asked the younger Elba in 2019 how she found out about her dad winning the publication’s Sexiest Man Alive title the year before, she said she had been excited about the announcement until she discovered who it was.

“I wake up in the morning and it’s my dad,” she added. ‘I was like, ‘This is not what I was expecting. This is not fun.’”

Idris Elba has become the latest face of Calvin Klein following White’s social-media stirring campaign. The British actor, rapper and singer is best known for his roles in The Wire, Luther, and Mandela: A Long Walk to Freedom.

In 2019 Isan Elba was named a Golden Globes Ambassador and revealed she always dreamt she would follow in her father’s footsteps and join the acting industry.

Until then, the aspiring actor has curated a big presence on TikTok where she shares videos about her life, outfits, and product reviews which regularly rack up hundreds of thousands in views.
