Ariana Grande responds after fellow star dubbed her ‘worst celeb encounter’

Ariana Grande has issued a lengthy response after a fellow showbiz star said the singer was her “worst” celeb encounter.

Elvira calls out Ariana Grande for snubbing her during meet-and-greet after she gave the pop star 20 tickets

Ariana Grande has responded after a fellow star described the pop singer as her “worst” celeb meeting.

While speaking at a recent Q&A at Knott’s Scary Farm, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, 73, joked that it rhymed with “Pariana Mande.”

After the audience quickly decoded the name, the Queen of Halloween, whose real name is Cassandra Peterson, gave a “brief” rundown of her meeting with the Grammy winner, 31.

“She came [to my show] and she brought 20 guests,” Peterson started. “So she wanted 20 or 21 tickets and we were like, ‘Okay!’ and we gave her the tickets.”

Before the show, Peterson invited Grande and her party backstage and the “we can’t be friends” singer asked if she would “take pictures with all of her friends and relatives” — which she happily obliged.

“So I take a picture with every single one of them,” Peterson recalled. “I sign autographs for every single one of them.”

Elvira said her worst celeb encounter was with Ariana Grande.

“And then I say to her, ‘Could we take a photo together?’ and she goes, ‘No, I don’t really do that.’” Peterson said, mimicking a Valley girl accent.

To add insult to injury, the actress claimed Grande “took off” before she even took the stage.

“And then she left before my show started but all her relatives stayed,” Peterson said with a laugh.

Elvira shared an article featuring her comments on her Instagram account, which Grande said had “disheartened” her.

“i’m so disheartened to see this. i actually don’t even remember getting the chance to meet you because i had an anxiety attack and to my memory, left before the rest of my family (this was around 7 years ago and at the time i was really not great with being in public crowds or loud places) … but if i’m misremembering this moment, i sincerely apologize [sic] for offending you so,” Grande wrote.

The Wicked actress continued, “thank you for being so nice to my mom, she told me how lovely you were (she might have different feelings about that now but i’ll talk to her … clearly, we all have our days!”

She signed off, “sending love always. you’ll always be our queen of halloween!”

During Elvira’s panel, moderator Jeff Tucker joked, “She’s playing the wrong witch,” alluding to Grande’s role as Glinda the “Good Witch” in the upcoming Wicked film.

The Elvira’s Haunted Hills actress has never been one to shy away from sharing her honest thoughts.

The actress subtly shaded Kylie Jenner in 2022 after the reality star dressed up as her iconic character for Halloween — but didn’t give her credit.

“I didn’t get a heads up that Kylie was doing the costume, but she did the costume justice and it was very flattering,” she told TMZ at the time.

“It would have been even more flattering if she tagged me,” she sarcastically added.

Peterson later posted a shady meme comparing her original look to Jenner’s scantily-clad version, captioned, “In a world full of Kardashians be an Elvira.”

She notably did not tag the makeup mogul.

In the comments section, the actress, once again, noted that it “would’ve been nice” to get some recognition from Jenner.
