Celebrate 90th anniversary of Bondi Icebergs at world famous beach
It may be winter but there’s lots to do to get you out and about in Sydney this week — from celebrating Sydney’s iconic Bondi Icebergs as it turns 90, to catching TV star Megan Mullally perform at the Sydney Opera House.
CELEBRATE
ICEBERGS TURNS 90
Icebergs Club Bistro 90th birthday menu, 1 Notts Ave, Bondi Beach
A chilled glass of wine, world-famous seafood and THAT view. Mark the 90th anniversary of the famed Icebergs Winter Swimming Club with a front-row seat at Icebergs Club Bistro.
To celebrate one of the nation’s oldest swimming clubs, Club Bistro executive chef Charles Dubrovic, who has been at the Bistro for 11 years, has created a special modern menu with its signature seafood platter for two the central dish.
Pull up a chair overlooking the famous pool, where local lifeguards started the Icebergs Winter Swimming Club in 1929, and dine on fresh prawns, oysters, or have a little bit of everything with the platter. Paired with a bottle of Yalumba Eden Valley chardonnay, it’s $115 for members and $120 for non-members until the end of August.

If you and your canine are more suited to spectator sports, there’s flyball, a jack russell terrier racing demonstration or frisbee dogs events to watch.
