The dour doyenne of American Vogue was caught in a gust of wind that up-ended her trademark bob and bangs during the week on the streets of the Big Apple.

Without her trademark double sunglasses and Chanel suit, the famously reticent editor strutted in her shin-length fur coat and beige high-heel pumps — with flopping straps.

So not vogue.
