MARRIED at First Sight star Tracey Jewel has claimed she “overdosed” during a recent overseas holiday and is now seeking help in a mental health clinic.

The former reality TV contestant got back with her ex, Patrick Kedemos, in June and the pair jetted off overseas together in July for a five-week holiday throughout Europe.

But as Jewel told New Idea, she wasn’t in great spirits when the holiday begun.

“I’ve been bullied and cyber-trolled relentlessly, pretty much all year,” Jewel told the magazine. “I was completely crucified with allegations that were completely unfounded.”

Jewel claims Kedemos thought the trip would help clear her head and told her he’d pay for everything.

“Once we were away, it became very evident that he thought I would just go back to my normal bubbly self,” Tracey told New Idea. “I’ve been very emotionally withdrawn because of the stress from the trolls and the bullying and he thought that would magically disappear.”

Jewel said she thought that Kedemos would be “patient” with her and her mood, but claims that wasn’t the case.

“He would go off and leave me on my own for half the day,” Jewel said.

“He would say that I asked for this and that I deserved all this bullying [and] that I just need to snap out of it. He said that because I went on MAFS it’s my responsibility and I need to fix all this.”

Jewel told the magazine she wanted to return back to Australia but didn’t have enough money to pay for a flight.

“I went into a head spin and I overdosed,” she said. “I just didn’t see a way out of the current situation.

“I’m not someone who has a history of depression, but I started getting help in April because the psychologist said I might have post-traumatic stress disorder because of everything I’d been through.”

Kedemos did pay for Jewel’s return flight for Australia and she decided to check into a mental health clinic earlier this month.

“[My doctors] thought the best thing I could do was to have care to get better as quickly as possible,” she told New Idea.

Jewel also claimed she hasn’t told her daughter about her overseas breakdown yet.

“She doesn’t need to know all the ins and outs, because I don’t want to scare or upset her [but] I want her to know that it’s OK not to feel well — and when you’re not well you get help.”

Jewel was one of the most talked about contestants on the most recent series of Channel 9’s Married At First Sight.

She was originally paired with Dean Wells and later ended up dating Sean Thomsen.
