SELFIE culture has officially become high art as Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine covers its latest special issue with pictures taken by the stars themselves.

From shock-princess Miley Cyrus to selfie ‘Kween’ Kim Kardashian West, these intimate self-portraits have the stars acting as stylist, director, photographer and subject for a series of special-edition covers for Interview Magazine’s September #ME Issue #INSTAGANG.

Known for turning a can of soup into high art iconic pop-artist Andy Warhol famously said “in the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes”.

Well, these guys know a little about fame ... his brainchild Interview Magazine calls them “100 of the most powerful personalities on the internet” including Victoria Beckham, Madonna, Miley Cyrus, Kim Kardashian, Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Zayn Malik and photographer Mert Alas”.

It seems the future is here, as selfie-fever has taken over the world’s social media airwaves. We can’t help thinking Andy Warhol would be so proud.
