Julia Roberts admits she used to be ‘a selfish little brat’
JULIA Roberts has confessed that she wasn’t exactly a saint as she rose up the ranks to become the biggest star in Hollywood.

JULIA Roberts has admitted she used to be a “selfish little brat”.
The actress, who is about to turn 50, has starred in hit films including Pretty Woman, My Best Friend’s Wedding and Notting Hill.
But she told Harper’s Bazaar UK that she didn’t always behave very well as she climbed the ranks to become Hollywood’s biggest star.
“I was my priority, a selfish little brat running around making films,” Roberts told the magazine.
The Oscar winner said she stopped being a brat after she met Danny Moder on the set of The Mexican in 2000.
The couple wed in 2002 and have three kids together: twins Hazel and Finn, 12, and Henry, 10
“When I think about what makes my life my life, and makes sense and just shine inside of me, it’s him,” Roberts told Harper’s Bazaar about her hubby, “everything has come from that for me”.
Roberts’ confession that she used to be a “brat” will come as no surprise to some in Hollywood who have spoken publicly about their history with the actress.

The legendary director was asked on 60 Minutes if he’d ever work with Julia Roberts again after they worked together on 1991’s Hook. In a soft voice, the director said, “no”.
From all reports, Roberts was an emotional wreck on the set of the fantasy film. The actor, who played Tinkerbell in the film, was struggling when filming began having just called off her engagement to Kiefer Sutherland four days before their wedding.
Roberts was such a nightmare on set that the crew nicknamed her “Tinkerhell”.
After filming had wrapped, the director admitted to 60 Minutes that “it was not a great time for Julia and I to be working together”.
Roberts responded to Spielberg’s comments years later in Vanity Fair, saying, “I saw that and my eyes popped out of my head”.
“I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t believe that this person that I knew and trusted was actually hesitating to come to my defence. It was a hard lesson to learn. It was the first time that I felt I had a turncoat in my midst.”

Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte did not get on when filming the 1994 movie I Love Trouble.
According to the LA Times, Roberts “wasn’t thrilled with Nolte’s machismo, so she would deride and insult her co-star”.
After the movie was released, Roberts told the New York Times that while Nolte can be “charming and nice, he’s also completely disgusting”.
Nolte fired back, saying, “It’s not nice to call someone ‘disgusting.’ But she’s not a nice person. Everyone knows that”.

In 2009 the journalist revealed what happened when Julia Roberts saw him on the red carpet of her new movie, Duplicity.
The actress had reportedly been told that Friedman had written negative articles about her in the past (he hadn’t) and she made sure she let him know she wasn’t impressed.
“She was rude, downright nasty, and dismissive,” Friendman wrote about Roberts’ behaviour towards him that night.
“She snubbed me in front of other people to make her point, and later cut in between me and director Tony Gilroy to make her point. Her behaviour was unexpected and chilling.”
