DAN Brown has revealed how he cures writer's block.

By hanging upside down.

The Da Vinci Code author straps himself to a table in his home gym that rotates him into a position that lets blood -  and, it seems, ideas - flow to his head.

Brown, 48, said: "It does help. You've just got to relax and let go.

"The more you do it, the more you let go. Then soon it's just, "Wow".'

The award-winning author, whose latest book, Inferno, is released tomorrow, is reported to use "gravity boots" at his holiday home to hang upside down.

It emerged last week that, amid huge secrecy about the book's storyline, translators had to work on foreign-language editions in a bunker, with no mobile phones, at the Milan publishing house Mondadori.
