A new I’m A Celeb contestant has just been publicly announced, one day on from Kerri-Anne Kennerley’s shock departure from the show.

Former international Wallabies star – and former Bachelor – Nick Cummins will enter the jungle during Monday’s episode.

Cummins, 35, parlayed his notoriety as the “Honey Badger” rugby player into reality TV fame when he starred in the 2018 season of Ten’s The Bachelor Australia.

He’ll enter I’m A Celeb days after the camp was rocked by the sudden departure of Kennerley, who dramatically quit in Thursday night’s episode after a fiery clash with Married At First Sight contestant Domenica Calarco.

The reality star slammed KAK for refusing to take part in an eating trial, labelling her “Miss big contract lady” and demanding to know: “Why are you here, bro? Legit, actually, why are you here?”

Kennerley quit the entire show shortly after that, re-entering camp before Calarco to say her goodbyes.

“The abuse was quite overwhelming,” she told them of her blow-up with the MAFS star. “It’s never going to work. This just morphed into something that it shouldn’t have been.”

Meanwhile, Ten has teased that Cummins’ entry into the show on Monday will be dramatic, with the rugby great arriving at camp after making a “2.3km drop”.

I’m A Celeb continues 7.30pm Sunday on Ten
