Hot off her opening performance at Monday’s Oscars, Beyonce has sent fans into a spin with a series of stunning photos.
The 40-year-old US singer took to Instagram to show off her incredible figure in a glitzy sheer silver gown.
The mother-of-three flaunted her famous assets in the see-through ensemble, sharing the photos with her 250 million followers.
Her comments section lit up over the photos, with one user writing, “Break the internet!!!!”, while another added, “What a queen.”
A further comment read, “It’s your WORLD and the rest of us just live in it.”
It comes after the Single Ladies singer performed at Monday’s disastrous Oscars ceremony – her first awards show performance in five years – with a breathtaking performance of Oscar-nominated song Be Alive from the King Richard soundtrack.
Rather than performing onstage at the Dolby Theatre, Beyonce prerecorded the number from a tennis court in Compton where Serena and Venus Williams were coached by their father in their early years.
She was surrounded by dancers – including her 10-year-old daughter Blue Ivy – who were all dressed in neon yellow in a nod to the appearance of tennis balls.
Beyonce herself was dressed in a tennis ball inspired neon gown with a feathered bodice.
But the night was doomed to descend into chaos from there, when Will Smith now-infamously slapped Chris Rock in the face during the live telecast after the comedian made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
And in a bombshell new twist to the saga, the Academy has today revealed Smith was asked to leave after “the deeply shocking, traumatic event”, but the King Richard star stood his ground and went on to receive best actor to a standing ovation.
In a statement, the organisation admitted “things unfolded in a way we could not have anticipated,” while detailing what happened in the room. The statement also included an apology to Chris Rock, who has not yet spoken out about the incident.
“While we would like to clarify that Mr. Smith was asked to leave the ceremony and refused, we also recognise we could have handled the situation differently,” it read.
