Ben Simmons engaged to British TV presenter Maya Jama

Basketball star Ben Simmons has locked in his forever love, with pictures of Maya Jama confirming the pair’s engagement.

Melbourne-born international basketball star Ben Simmons is engaged to British TV presenter Maya Jama.

While the couple are yet to officially comment on their relationship status, the appearance of a huge diamond ring on Jama’s ring finger has left no doubt that wedding bells are in the future for the smitten couple.

The pair were photographed on a morning coffee run after a joint gym session in Philadelphia this week, with Jama’s enormous sparkler impossible to miss.

Simmons is currently contracted to the Philadelphia 76ers, but announced in August 2021 that he no longer wanted to be a member of the team and was seeking a trade.

He is yet to seal a deal with a new team.

Rumours first surfaced around Christmas that Simmons, 25, had popped the question to Jama, 27, following a seven-month romance.

The pair were initially linked in June 2021, after they were spotted sharing dinner at a restaurant called Sexy Fish in London.

They soon went public with their relationship, being photographed kissing in the stands at the Wimbledon grand slam tennis tournament.

Simmons previously made headlines with his on-off romance with Kendall Jenner.

Jama dated rapper Stormzy for four years, with the pair splitting in 2019.
