Barbie star Margot Robbie stuns as bridesmaid for Gold Coast gal pal

She may have missed out on an Oscar for Barbie, but Margot Robbie deserves best supporting actress for her performance as bridesmaid at her friend’s wedding. See the pics.

Bridesmaid Barbie, aka Margot Robbie, didn’t put a perfectly manicured foot wrong when she returned home to the Gold Coast to star in one of her best friend’s weddings.

Robbie, 33, was one of five bridesmaids to don a butter-coloured silk gown in honour of friend Brittany Lindores’ beachside ceremony to Maximilian Claxton on Friday.

The happy couple posted a series of videos documenting the celebrations to their Instagram accounts.

Despite her star power, like all good bridesmaids, Robbie didn’t take anything away from the glowing bride who was visibly emotional as she made her way down the aisle.

A dutiful bridesmaid, Robbie can be seen passing the bride her bouquet and holding the bride’s train as the sunglasses-clad wedding party traipsed over a pedestrian crossing in the wedding footage.

However in group shots of the wedding party, Robbie was sure to position herself to the outskirts of the frame to ensure all eyes remained on the beautiful bride.

Clearly in her element among her oldest friends, Robbie – a proud Queenslander who grew up on the Gold Coast – is also seen embracing fellow revellers.

Drinks were on Robbie at the reception with bottles of the superstar’s gin Papa Salt – which she launched along with a group of friends last year – enjoyed by guests.

Papa Salt is made out of Byron Bay distillery Lord Byron.

Other local fare on show at the reception, which was held at beloved Gold Coast restaurant Rick Shores, included oysters from Miami Fish Market.

A second video highlighting the pre and post wedding shenanigans shows Robbie at the hens party dressed in a Barbie pink tutu and Bridesmaid sash.

The Wolf of Wall Street actor can be seen dancing with her hands in the air in the background at Las Vegas themed bash.

Other prominent wedding guests included ironwoman Courtney Hancock who posted a touching tribute to the newlyweds on Instagram.

“Claxton Love. ️Magical celebration for the most beautiful couple. Unforgettable. We love you,” Hancock wrote alongside a photograph of her with the happy couple.

Robbie is a seasoned bridesmaid, having done the honours back in 2017 for a friend’s nuptials in Hawaii.
