From all the guys and all the girls, Brooke Blurton has chosen her love in the season finale of The Bachelorette.

In a world first, 26-year-old youth social worker Blurton had a selection of 20 male and female hopefuls vying for her affections, and ultimately chose landscaper Darvid Garayeli over runner-up Jamie-Lee Dayz.

The pair exchanged “promise rings” and sealed the deal with a kiss.

“I feel like the biggest weight has been lifted off my shoulders,” Blurton said. “We have both been waiting for this moment for a very long time.

“He is everything I manifested in a partner.”

Garayeli, 27, was also relieved to finally be able to share the news, after having to keep it a secret after filming wrapped several months ago.

“I can finally tell my friends, family and stop being so evasive,” he said.

“Brooke is honestly so much more than I ever envisioned in a partner. She’s supportive, driven, honest and downright beautiful inside and out.”

The pair are already talking about moving in together and starting a family. Blurton is based in Melbourne while Garayeli is from Brisbane.

“There’s so many things (I’m looking forward to),” she said.

“I think the one thing that excites us would be our dogs meeting and settling into our new Melbourne abode.”

Garayeli said: “I’m excited for the little stuff, for our dogs to meet, to get a coffee, to never use FaceTime again.

“I can say over this long distance we’ve built a really strong foundation, I’m excited to just enjoy each other’s company for a bit, explore Melbourne and start building that footy team.”

Watching the finale, Dayz said she no longer had “romantic feelings” for Blurton.

“For me to have romantic feelings for someone, those feelings need to be reciprocated,” she said.

“I’ll always care for Brooke, as a friend — it’s hard to not to, she’s an incredible and inspiring woman, but I don’t have any romantic feelings towards her any more.

“I’m single and looking for Mr or Mrs Right.

“I don’t know what’s next for me, but I’m excited to move on with the next chapter of my life and enjoy the new friends I’ve made — and hopefully meet someone special.”
