There’s no denying 2018 has been Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich’s golden year. The couple — chosen as part of this year’s BW Magazine Hot List — tied the knot in March and finally put the naysayers to rest.

There’s no denying 2018 has been Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich’s golden year. The couple everyone expected to fail tied the knot in March and finally put the naysayers to rest.
Despite being together five years, the pair — who met on the first season of The Bachelor Australia in 2013 — feel they can finally say: “We told you so.”
“Definitely 2018 has been a really good year for us,” Robards tells BW Magazine.
“We got married, travelled, we bought a house and a heap of really good stuff happened for us professionally.
“It’s funny, even once we got engaged there were still people that forgot we’d been together for four years already.”
Heinrich said getting married a couple of months after the reality TV show was not for them and they are both happy they waited to have a perfect wedding day.
“There was pressure that from the get-go because everyone was so invested in our relationship and understandably, but at the same time we wanted to make sure that everything we felt on the show translated to the outside world,” Heinrich says.
“And that’s why we took so long because I wanted to make sure everything was absolutely perfect and that it was real.”
While this has been their year on a personal front, it has also been a positive one professionally.
Robards competed on Ninja Warrior Australia for a second time and continued to build his fitness program, The Robards Method.

In October he landed a role on Neighbours consolidating an almost lifelong ambition to be an actor. Meanwhile, Heinrich co-hosted a pilot TV show with radio star Kyle Sandilands called Trial By Kyle.
“We always compete, we’re so competitive,” Heinrich laughs.
Robards cuts in: “But I’m on (TV) many more nights than Anna at the moment.”
Anna jumps in: “That’s true, but I’m on prime time and on the main channel, so I think I win...”
One topic neither take flippantly is children.
“Having a bigger house now, we can start to think about building a family, but that’ll be down the track … I think,” Robards says.
The couple plan to spend Christmas with both their families and a New Year’s at their new house.
“Because we just bought we’re just going to chill at our new place, because we want to celebrate it and entertain there,” Heinrich says.
“It’s the one thing we’ve been wanting to do, bring everyone over, because we have a really good entertaining space.”

“There’s so much I love about Tim, even more recently. You really go after everything that you want despite what people say, I love that. You’re so confident, driven, loving and you push me to be a better person, so I’ve definitely become a better person since meeting you and even all my friends and family think that.”
WHAT TIM LOVES ABOUT ANNA
“I love that when Anna is feeling her most confident and happy she has a really nice fun, playful energy. She’s a really giving person, she’s not a selfish person at all. She’s beautiful but she doesn’t walk around like she knows it. She’s a beautiful girl.”
