Williams isn’t confining his surprises to the fashion world: on Friday he released his first solo album in eight years, GIRL, with barely a week of advance warning.
Expect big sales, considering the producer is enjoying a career renaissance at the moment, having been responsible for three of the biggest-selling singles of 2013 (Thicke’s Blurred Lines, Daft Punk’s Get Lucky and his own Happy).
Will he add an Oscar to his trophy cabinet at today’s award? Whether he wins or not, we’d like to thank Pharrell for championing a cause that we here at news.com.au have been supporting for a while: men’s right to wear shorts at work and to formal events. Nice to have you on our side, Pharrell.
