Oscars 2024: Margot Robbie stuns in gold as stars bare-all on after-party red carpets

All the A-list stars have hit the red carpet for a second time in one evening. But it’s Margot Robbie’s outfit change which has drawn attention.

Oscars 2024 red carpet: All the best glam and gowns from Hollywood’s big night

The Oscars came to a close on Monday evening, but the stars are still busy partying the rest of the night away.

As the after-parties beckoned, an array of A-list stars left the ceremony, had a quick costume change and have hit the red carpets for a second time.

After turning up to the Oscars in black, which some claimed showed her in mourning for her “snub”, Margot Robbie opted to dress all in gold as she prepared to party her disappointment away with her co-stars.

Some fans said she was trying to mirror the famous Oscars statuette itself, as she dared to bare in the Thierry Mugler gold-beaded corset bodysuit.

The Aussie star was widely expected to be nominated for the Best Actress gong, but lost out to a stellar shortlist of stars.

Emma Stone took the award on the night for her performance in Poor Things.

The other top acting gong of the night went to Cillian Murphy, who received rapturous applause after being announced as Best Actor for Oppenheimer.

It was a memorable night for film fans.

Viewers dubbed Ryan Gosling’s performance at the Academy Awards one of the most “memorable in Oscars history”.

The Canadian actor put on an incredible show as he belted out the Barbie original song I’m Just Ken onstage, delivering a high-energy, bubblegum pink performance brimming with bright props and finale fireworks.

He also made sure to pay tribute to the movie’s female cast members with a heartwarming gesture, sharing the microphone with Robbie and Greta Gerwig.

The ceremony faced some backlash earlier this year following the decision to not nominate Robbie for Best Actress or Gerwig for Best Director.

When Gosling was announced as a performer, there was further backlash at the notion of celebrating the movie’s male character seemingly at the cost of its female characters.

However, Gosling made sure to include his female co-stars during the show.

The performance started while Gosling sat in the audience sitting behind Robbie, who couldn’t help but giggle at the ridiculousness of it all. He then made his way to the stage, where he was joined by Mark Ronson on guitar and dozens of backup dancers.
