MOVE over Meryl, there’s a new star in town.

And she’s not your average star.

During a brief comedic break at the Oscars, host Jimmy Kimmel surprised a group of unsuspecting tourists and invited them into the live ceremony, where he proceeded to introduce them to some of the biggest names in town, including Ryan Gosling and Nicole Kidman.

But it was Vicky Vines and her husband Gary, on holiday from Chicago, who stole the show. Selfie stick and all.With a personality that has the internet in stitches and a “wedding ceremony” with Denzel Washington officiating, some argued it was the best part of the show.

Perhaps the most deserving Oscar of the night?

But the burning question of the night is, what did Ryan Gosling whisper is her ear?

Kimmel explained they’d told the tourists they were going on a simple tour of Tinseltown.

“We told them we are coming into this building to see special exhibits of dresses and gowns,” Kimmel told the audience. “It is dresses and gowns, but they will be on people. The moment that we open the doors they will be on live TV and we are going to surprise them, OK?”
