GWYNETH Paltrow’s pale pink frock was a talking point among critics at Sunday night’s Academy Awards, but critiques weren’t all good.

The 42-year-old Oscar winner opted for a one-sleeved Ralph & Russo gown featuring a bold shoulder embellishment.

The full-length baby pink frock was a similar shade to the backdrop outside the Dolby Theatre and the Mortdecai actor seemed to blend into the scenery.

“When I see Gwyneth in pink, it brings me back to her Ralph Lauren Oscars gown,” E! host Giuliana Rancic commented, referring to the dress she wore when she won Best Actress for Shakespeare in Love in 1999.

“She should keep that in our memory,” co-host Khloe Kardashian remarked.

Paltrow was also bedazzled from head to toe in bling from Anna Hu Haute Joaillerie, including a $3 million 55.9-carat ring and $425,000 Fire Phoenix earrings.

She joked on Instagram before leaving the house that it took “a village” to get her ready for the star-studded evening.

Viewers took to Twitter shortly after the A-lister arrived on the red carpet. Some said Gwyn should have left her “lucky shade” back in 1999, while others reckon she’s still got it.
