Kim Kardashian stuns in mesmerising dress at E! People’s Choice Awards

She skipped the red carpet at the E! People’s Choice Awards. But Kim Kardashian still managed to be the centre of attention by showing off her curves in a jaw-dropping dress.

Kim Kardashian Forced To Evacuate & Caitlyn Jenner’s House Burns Down

Skipping the red carpet, Kim Kardashian West still managed to stand out and garner the attention of photographers thanks to her unconventional outfit choice.

Sporting a form-fitting sheer geometric gown, the 38-year-old stunned onlookers, not least when she and her sisters took out the Best Reality TV Show award for the year.

The mum-of-three was forced to cancel interviews ahead of the award show due to her and husband Kanye West’s Hidden Hills home being swept up in the Los Angeles fires.

The couple’s other home, in the nearby suburb of Calabasas, has been saved. And with a price tag of $35 million, it’s just as well.

The wildfire crisis in nearby Malibu didn’t stop the E! People’s Choice Awards going ahead, where Victoria Beckham made a cheeky quip referencing the Spice Girls as she took out her gong.

Amber Valletta presented Beckham with the People’s Fashion Icon award. Beckham paid tribute to victims of the California fires before thanking fans for their support.

While she is not joining her fellow Spice Girl bandmates on their reunion tour, she did make a reference to some of their hit song lyrics as she spoke about her achievements in the fashion world.

“If you really, really want it,” she began, referencing a Spice Girls lyric, “If you really, really put your head down and you focus and you work hard and you believe in yourself, what you can achieve is incredible. Many years ago,I started with girl power and now that message is still strong as ever.”

She went on, saying: “If you’ve ever been doubted, this award tonight is for all of us.”

Stars at today’s E! People’s Choice Awards were encouraged to use the red carpet gala to help raise funds and support for the hero first responders of the Thousand Oaks mass shooting and California’s worst wildfires in the state’s history.

With thick smoke and white ash choking the air at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, Beckham, Nicki Minaj, John Legend paid tribute to the fierce battles being waged by fire fighters in nearby Malibu, Ventura County, Woolsley and Sacramento.

Blustery Santa Ana winds were not helping efforts to bring the out-of-control wildfires across at least three fronts — with the firestorm death toll rising to 25 people, while another 100 people remain missing.

Celebrities who had to flee their homes in the exclusive cliffside enclaves of Hidden Hills, Calabasas and Malibu were using their large social media followings to urge fans to donate to the LA Fire Department and support local shelters housing some of the 300,000 people who have taken refuge since the firestorm took hold last Thursday.

Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Camille Grammer and singer Robin Thicke were among those whose homes were destroyed in the blaze; while actor Alyssa Milano tweeted her house had been spared in the Woolsley fires.

She had despaired about getting her five horses to safety, appealing to Twitter followers to help find them shelter as she fled the area with her children and smaller pets.

Charlie Sheen, who has just returned to LA from an Australian speaking tour, used social media to find his famous father, Martin and mother Janet, who were later located taking shelter on Zuma Beach.

Comics Will Ferrell and Sarah Silverman added some light relief to the awards show, which came after a horror week for the wider LA community — stunned by the mass shooting at Borderline Bar in neighbouring Thousand Oaks, which claimed 12 lives.

Rather than cancel the awards, organisers encouraged celebrities to use the stage to appeal for funds which will help with rebuilding projects and counselling services moving forward.

John Legend presented civil rights activist, Bryan Stevenson with the first-ever People’s Champion award.

Bridesmaids favourite Melissa McCarthy — who is earning critical acclaim for her dramatic performance in new film, Can You Ever Forgive Me? - was honoured with the The People’s Icon of 2018.

Nicki Minaj delivered a high energy opener, with rapper Tyga — not to be missed in neon green trainers.

Jimmy Fallon picked up best late night talk show host telling the audience “our country needs to laugh right now” then dedicated the gong to his soulmate “Justin Timberlake.”

The NBC favourite celebrates 20 years with the network and joked “I’ve never looked fatter.”
