All the 2024 Grammy winners as Taylor Swift makes history

Taylor Swift has just broken a never-before-seen in the 66-year history of the Grammys.

Taylor Swift makes bombshell album announcement

Taylor Swift has broken a major record at Monday’s Grammys, becoming the first artist in history to win Album of the Year four times.

The music megastar, 34, took home the prestigious award for her 2022 album Midnights, having previously won the award for Fearless, 1989 and folklore.

“I would love to tell you that this is the best moment of my life,” an emotional Swift began. “[But] I feel this happy when I finish a song, or when I crack the code to a bridge that I love.

Or when I’m shot listing a music video, or rehearsing with my dancers or my band or, getting ready to go to Tokyo.

“For me, the award is the work. All I want to do is to keep being able to do this. I love it so much. It makes me so happy.”

Female artists - including Swift, SZA, Billie Eilish and Miley Cyrus - almost entirely led the nominations for the 66th Grammys, with the ceremony at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Cyrus emerged as the dark horse of the 2024 awards, winning the first gong ‘Best pop solo performance’ and then the coveted Record of the Year award for Flowers, over frontrunners Swift and Eilish.

Speaking during her acceptance speech, the former Disney star was clearly having a hoot of a time, declaring, “I don’t think I forgot anyone, but I might’ve forgotten underwear.”

Earlier on, Swift easily yanked the spotlight with the announcement she’s set to release her 11th studio album in April.

While accepting the award for Best pop vocal album, Swift revealed her new album would be called The Tortured Poets Department.

Earlier, Australian pop star Kylie Minogue kickedstarted victories, picking up her second ever Grammy during the pre-televised awards. She won Best Pop Dance Recording for last year’s electropop hit Padam Padam.

Taking to social media with a celebratory video, the Spinning Around singer can be seen being told by someone, “Two-time Grammy winner”, as she screams and dances around her hotel room in a bathrobe.

Minogue has been nominated six times over her decades-long music career, and last won at the 2004 awards, taking home Best Dance Recording for Come into My World.
