Two of the country’s well-known agents seem to be at odds as to who is looking after little-known influencer Suzan Mutesi.

Long-time celebrity manager Max Markson locked Mutesi into a three-year contract last year and has been working with the all-rounder, touted as a designer, author, actor and “creative powerhouse” all week.

However, he was surprised to received a phone call from Sunday Confidential informing him that one of rival agent Sean Anderson’s employees had sent out an email from his 22 Management account to let media know he was representing the “rising sensation”.

“Suzan signed an exclusive contract with me last November and she is still in contract for three years,” Markson told Sunday Confidential on Saturday.

“I have left two messages for Sean Anderson.

“I have known Sean for 25 years … whatever she signed with them, it will need to be torn up. If you want to book Suzan, call my mobile.”

While Markson admits Suzan “is no Kylie Minogue”, he said she still brings a reasonable amount of work to his business.

Despite there being a battle for the unknown Instagrammer, Markson insists it’s not slim pickings for talent agents right now.

“Every year 50 or 60 people go on the market after appearing on Married At First Sight and Bachelor and Bachelorette,” he said.

A representative from Anderson’s 22 Management told Confidential they were unaware Mutesi was working with Markson.

“One of Sean’s employees was discussing management with her and was under the impression she didn’t have a contract with Markson.

“They will sit down with her next weekend and if it turns out she does, then they won’t pursue her.”
