If you’re planning on attending an Adele concert, be warned: the multi-award winning singer will not tolerate anything being thrown on her at stage.

“Have you noticed how people are forgetting f**king show etiquette at the moment and just throwing s**t onstage?” said the 35-year-old on Saturday at her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace.

“Have you seen that? I f**king dare you, I dare you to throw something at me. I’ll f**king kill you.”

The Someone Like You singer isn’t wrong - there have been a number of incidents recently where musicians have been accosted by excited fans throwing things at them while they are performing.

Last week, singer and songwriter Bebe Rexha required stitches near her eye after a fan hurled a phone at her while she performed in New York. Rexha fell to the ground, clutching her face, and had to leave the stage to get medical attention.

The “fan” was later identified as 27-year-old Nicolas Malvagna, who told police he thought throwing the phone at Rexha would be “funny”. He was arrested and charged with assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault and harassment.

Luckily, Rexha was not seriously hurt and went on to continue her tour in Philadelphia. She even made a joke to fans, saying, “just no phones on my face tonight please, I beg of you”.

A few days later, a fan slipped on stage and slapped musician Ava Max in the face as she performed in Los Angeles. The Not Your Barbie Girl singer sustained an eye injury.

In a bizarre incident, a fan handed pop musician Pink a bag of their mother’s ashes and another fan gave her a wheel of brie cheese while she was performing in London.

While it may be strange gifts, at least Pink’s fans didn’t thrown either item at her.

Country pop artist Kelsea Ballerini was struck in the face by a heavy bracelet a fan chucked at her, forcing the If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too) singer to temporarily stop the show. She later stated she was fine via an Instagram post.

Earlier this week, a fan threw a sex toy at rapper Lil Nax X, who jokingly asked the audience: “Who threw they p***y?”

According to NME, New Zealand DJ Zane Lowe spoke out against this recent onslaught of fans throwing things at their favourite performers. On his Apple Music radio show, he said it takes courage for musicians to play in front of a crowd and that there is no “good intention” when things get thrown on stage.

“You cannot justify it,” he said.

After sharing the clip on TikTok, he wrote: “If we want to continue to enjoy our favourite artists performing live in a face to face environment, we have to stop making our need for contact their problem. Don’t throw s**t”.
