Epstein files expose professor’s plea for help

A prominent academic, who previously worked at the Australian National University and once appeared on the ABC, asked Jeffrey Epstein for help with his own sexual harassment allegations.

A prominent science professor, who previously worked at the Australian National University and appeared once on the ABC, asked Jeffrey Epstein for help in dealing with publicity over his own sexual harassment allegations.

A number of emails between astrophysicist and author Lawrence Krauss and Epstein were among the thousands of files by the US House Oversight Committee last week.

The academic, who was removed from his post at the Arizona State University in 2018 amid allegations of sexual misconduct, as reported by the Arizona State Press, has strenuously denied all allegations against him. No legal action was taken against him.

In one 2018 exchange from the thousands of documents released, reported by US outlets including The New York Times and the Scientific American, Krauss told Epstein about claims against him, and branded his accuser a “b***h”.

“This is very scary, but I see that [journalists] keep contacting students, postdocs etc, and are not letting up. I really need your feedback,” he told Epstein.

Epstein also once forwarded Krauss an email about a ‘Women In The World Summit’. In response, Krauss jokingly suggested they throw a ‘Men Of The World conference’, and invite the scandal-plagued stars Woody Allen and Kevin Spacey to the summit.

ANDREW BREAKS COVER AMID FRESH HUMILIATION

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been spotted for the first time since being stripped of his titles amid his links to Jeffrey Epstein.

The disgraced royal was seen riding on the grounds of Windsor Castle with a female companion near his home at Royal Lodge, which he will soon leave.

It came as the former prince has suffered more humiliation with the removal of his name from commemorative plaques in the Falklands.

Andrew was previously considered a hero for his military efforts as a helicopter co-pilot during the 1982 conflict and visited the Falklands on several occasions to unveil memorials and public buildings.

The Mirror reports that four plaques that were unveiled by Andrew on the British overseas territory have been removed from public buildings.

Andrew has also been kicked out of the exclusive London gentlemen’s club, The Savage Club, whose previous members included his late father, Prince Philip and several monarchs, The Telegraph reports.

“The General Committee has resolved that, in light of recent public developments, the Honorary Life Membership previously held by The Duke of York has been withdrawn. This decision has been taken solely in the interests of upholding the Club’s established traditions and standards,” read a notice, published by The Telegraph.

It came as a group of women who survived abuse under Epstein released a powerful video urging House Republicans to vote to release all of the files in relation to the late convicted pedophile.

Staring directly into the camera, the women held up photos from when they allegedly first met the sex offender as teenagers and said it was “time to bring the secrets out of the shadows”.

“This was me when I met Jeffrey Epstein,” one survivor said, holding up a photograph of her as a teenager in the video, which was released by the group World Without Exploitation.

“There are about 1,000 of us,” another woman said.

PARIS HILTON BREAKS SILENCE ON EPSTEIN

Socialite Paris Hilton has no recollection of ever meeting Ghislaine Maxwell despite being photographed in her company chatting to Donald Trump when the hotel heiress was just a teenager.

“I don’t even remember ever meeting her,” Hilton told the UK’s Sunday Times.

“I’m such a good clickbait name.”

Her comments came after the 2020 documentary Surviving Jeffrey Epstein was brought back into the spotlight given the recent scrutiny over the alleged dealings the late pedophile had with President Trump and the former prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The doco, which can still be viewed in Australia on Amazon Prime and Apple TV, includes an interview with a former friend of Hilton – British journalist Christopher Mason.

Mason, who said he has known Maxwell since the 1980s, recounted an incident at party where Epstein’s madam allegedly spotted Hilton and remarked she would be “perfect for Jeffrey.”

The documentary then flashed up the photograph of Hilton, Maxwell and President Trump talking.

The picture was taken in 2000 when Hilton was 19-years-old and signed up to Mr Trump’s modelling agency, T Management.

REPUBLICANS HIT BACK AS EPSTEIN FILES SET TO BE RELEASED

Republicans are circulating a report that may help their politicians push back on the “anti-Trump narrative” Democrats are pushing regarding Epstein.

“This memorandum outlines the Democrats’ actions and demonstrates how they appear more focused on advancing an anti-Trump narrative than on pursuing justice for Epstein’s victims,” the 10-page document, obtained by The New York Post, explained.

The memo was put together by Republican staff on the oversight panel, after Democrats on the committee released three hand-picked emails from the disgraced financier that mentioned President Trump.

The Republican plan comes ahead of an expected government vote this week on whether to force the Department of Justice to release all files and communications related to Epstein, after Democrats gained enough support to bring the issue to the floor.

Mr Trump has called Democrats reviving the Epstein case a “hoax” for political purposes and has denied any involvement with his former friend’s criminal activities.

The emails mentioning Mr Trump were picked out from a trove of thousands, and released the same day Democrats were caving to Republican pressure to end the government shutdown.

In response, Republicans released the entire cache of 23,000 documents, obtained from Epstein’s estate via a subpoena.

The document notes that Republicans on the oversight committee, led by Chairman James Comer of Kentucky, who has subpoena power, initiated the investigation into the “horrific crimes” committed by Epstein and his convicted accomplice Maxwell.

Aside from Epstein estate documents, Mr Comer has issued subpoenas for documents from the Justice Department and testimony from Maxwell, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and several former FBI directors and attorneys general.

“Unfortunately, during this investigation, Oversight Committee Democrats, led by Ranking Member Robert Garcia, have intentionally mischaracterised witness testimony and selectively released information with targeted redactions in an effort to create another hoax involving President Trump,” the memo states.

“After whipping their Democrat base into a frenzy with absurd promises of finally ‘getting’ President Trump, Committee Democrats have now turned to concocting narratives from out-of-context documents, salacious innuendo, and outright lies regarding testimony and the evidentiary record to distract the American people from their own lack of ideas and leadership,” it continues, arguing that Democrats on the panel “have uncovered nothing new, have released no document not provided at the request of Republicans.”

The memo compares Democrats’ actions amid the Epstein investigation to “Russiagate, the Steele Dossier, and phony prosecutions before it.”

“Committee Democrats have overpromised and underdelivered, and now they paw through every new document production looking for a single term: Trump,” the report states.
