Rapid Antigen tests: How to get RAT tests delivered to your door

In recent weeks NSW residents have not been able to get rapid antigen tests for love nor money. But one company is now promising to deliver them to your door in just 10 minutes.

A delivery company is promising rapid antigen tests (RATs) delivered to your door in just 10 minutes.

With a surge in cases across NSW, RATs have been near impossible to find with most stores and pharmacies long sold out.

Those that are remaining are being prioritised for key workers.

However, grocery delivery company SEND has secured 10,000 two pack tests and from today is selling them to their customers.

The tests will be delivered to your door by a SEND rider.

The demand is expected to be huge with Tim Walsh, SEND’s head of buying stating they have carefully planned their stock so to not sell out instantly.

“We have planned carefully with our supplier to ensure no impact to supply however, we recognise the demand is massive and that we are endeavouring to fulfil as many customer orders as possible,” he said.

The two pack nasal swab tests are being sold for $21 per pack with individual orders capped at 15 packs per person.

Five-pack test kits will also be available on the app later this month.

When NewsLocal attempted to buy a pack on Friday, the reporter was notified on the app none were available and to check back every 30 minutes.

However, Tim Walsh said this was not because they are out of stock.

He said: “We are managing stock levels on the app in order to ensure reasonable delivery times, meaning the tests will go on and offline. If out of stock, customers are encouraged to check back every 30 minute.”

SEND is currently in operation between 12pm and 8pm in the following Sydney suburbs: Alexandria, Beaconsfield, Zetland, Waterloo, Redfern, Eveleigh, Macdonaldtown, Erskineville, Newtown, St Peters, Darlington, Glebe, Forest Lodge, Annandale, Stanmore, Paddington, Edgecliff, Sydney CBD, Darling Point, Rushcutters Bay, Elizabeth Bay, Woolloomooloo and Darlington.

In Melbourne the app delivers to South Melbourne, South Wharf, Southbank, Albert Park, St Kilda, East Melbourne, Collingwood, Fitzroy, Abbotsford and CBD.
