More freebies are on the way for NSW residents and we’re set for a summer of alfresco dining under two economic recovery incentives.
Every adult in the state will receive two more $25 Dine and Discover vouchers to spend on eating out and activities. The existing four vouchers will also be extended to June 2022 if they have not yet been used.
Treasurer Matt Kean said the additional $250 million investment will encourage people to enjoy what they love most.
“We are backing our businesses and helping hip pockets by expanding the program, in addition to extending existing vouchers,” he said.
Mr Kean told people to skip streaming services and instead explore the state. The vouchers will be available on the Service NSW app in time for summer.
Treasurer Dominic Perrottet has also promised constituents a “bright summer” with a further $66 million invested in restarting alfresco dining across the state.
Under the plan, the government will give 5000 restaurants, cafes, and bars $5000 grants each to extend alfresco dining at their venues.
Hospitality venues will be given a six month emergency exemption to expand dining into their car parks and gardens.
