NSW's vax push will ramp up today in 12 Covid-stricken communities, with hundreds of thousands of Pfizer doses set to make their way into arms from Thursday.
Anyone aged from 16 years old to 39 years old who lives in Bayside, Blacktown, Burwood, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield, Georges River, Liverpool, Parramatta, Penrith and Strathfield can come forward and get a Pfizer vaccination.
There are more than 500,000 jabs available, with more than half of a million doses of Pfizer sent from Poland promised to the virus-affected western Sydney region.
Premier Gladys Berejiklian welcomed the "vaccine blitz" earlier this week as NSW's Covid cases continue to climb.
“We know that once you get your first dose, in two or three weeks’ time, the chance of you getting the virus and passing it on to others is substantially reduced,” she said on Tuesday.
Ms Berejiklian said she hoped the majority of the doses would be delivered within two and a half weeks.
It marks the largest targeted push for mass vaccination in NSW yet, with 10 mass vaccination centres open to bookings from the priority group for the next few weeks.
