NSW has recorded 882 new Covid cases and two deaths in the latest reporting period with Sydney schools to return from late October.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian said kindergarten and Year 1 students would return to classrooms from October 25 with remaining years returning progressively.

She urged all school staff to get vaccinated.
