NSW Covid updates: 35 new local cases, Waterloo party probe

NSW has recorded 35 new Covid-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm on Sunday with 24 of those in isolation during their infectious periods.

There are now 312 cases detected since the NSW outbreak began on June 16 with 292 linked to known cases and 20 mystery cases.

Health authorities said on Monday that two new new cases at the SummitCare nursing home in Baulkham Hills brings the total number of residents infected to five. 

Both of the new cases are women in their 70s - one resident is fully vaccinated and one has not been vaccinated. 

A Rose Bay Public School student has also tested positive. There are two new cases linked to a party at West Hoxton and five cases linked to Virgin flight VA524 on June 26.

Three people who attended a gathering at an apartment complex in Waterloo on June 26 have also tested positive.
