She may be something of a cult icon herself but Danielle Cormack is proof that even TV stars have their guilty isolation secrets.
Specifically the Wentworth star says she used the lockdown period to finally catch up on some long-overdue viewing of some iconic shows she had spent years ‘getting around to’.
“I’m almost embarrassed to say this but I had never seen The Sopranos,” laughs Cormack, whose own show Secret City: Under The Eagle is currently streaming on BINGE.
“I tell people that sometimes and they are shocked.
“I don’t know why but it was just a show that I was always going to watch but never did so I have definitely been making up for lost time.”

Also in Cormack’s lockdown TV rotation; Seinfeld re-runs.
“I have two sons and the youngest is ten so for them they’re discovering Seinfeld for the first time,” the Kiwi actress says.
“So that show has kind of become our time to sit down together and bond and connect.”
With restrictions easing Cormack says see will soon be back to work as production slowly resumes among the film and TV industry.
She, along with former Wentworth co-star Nicole Da Silva, is currently developing a handful of projects which she hopes to film both locally and overseas.
“We have a barrage of script and development ideas,” she says.
“Obviously things will take time to get back to normal but I have been lucky in that I have been able to keep writing and being creative throughout this time.
“And ultimately when things are ready we can start producing some amazing projects which are all about creating more fully formed, fully realised female characters. That’s our mandate.”
