River Cottage Australia

This series is all about sustainable living as Tasmanian chef Paul West sets up his own farm near the picturesque village of Central Tilba on the NSW far south coast. Living off the land, rookie farmer West learns how to harvest and grow produce which he then uses to create delicious meals for his family, while also acquainting himself with the local community. Based on the hugely popular British show of the same time, this is one of seven River Cottage series on Binge.

Donna Hay: Basics to Brilliance

Based on her best-selling book, Australian food stylist and author Donna Hay shows viewers how to prepare a range of simple recipes – and then transform them into something truly delish. Dishes include sticky and saucy pork ribs, Asian-style poached chicken, juicy rump steak, a Thai green curry, slow-roasted lamb shoulder, or a smooth dark chocolate ganache.

One of three Donna Hay series on Binge, it’s the ultimate guide to being brilliant in the kitchen.

Jamie Cooks Italy

There’s seven Jamie Oliver food travel shows on Binge but this is certainly my favourite - and it might be the best. Follow Oliver and his trusty sidekick Gennaro Contaldo, as he travels across Italy, learning traditional recipes using locally sourced ingredients and creating his own healthy and tasty dishes. Along the way, he hits all the major hot spots including Rome, Naples, Puglia, Sicily and Tuscany. Molto bella!

Top Chef

Can’t get enough of TV cooking competitions? Then this US series could be perfect for you. Unlike MasterChef, up-and-coming professional chefs compete against each other in culinary challenges, with judges including a who’s who of the food world, from acclaimed chefs such as Wolfgang Puck and Emeril Lagasse, to food and wine experts. After 17 seasons, Top Chef is still going strong and has spawned several spin-off shows.
