Since debuting in 2010, it’s since spawned countless international versions, including the Australian show, co-hosted by Maggie Beer and Matt Moran.
KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS
While this long-running US series didn’t create the genre, it certainly took it to another level and – rightly or wrongly – helped turn once minor celebrity Kim Kardashian into a worldwide star.
Focusing on the lives of the Kardashian sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe, their half-sisters Kendall and Kylie, and mother Kris Jenner, KUWTK has many critics, but its popularity is undeniable, with filming on its 19th season beginning this year.
GOGGLEBOX AUSTRALIA
There’s something strangely soothing about watching other people watch TV.
That’s the simple premise of this reality show, which takes viewers into 10 households from a cross-section of society and captures their reactions to news, current affairs, politics and other TV shows.
Based on the UK version of the same name, season 10 features three new crews, including Gold Coast flatmates Milo and Nic, modern-day Aussie gals Kaday and Chantel and the Elias family from Sydney – dad Les, mum Danielle, son Jacob, and Lily Rose and Ivy.
