A passenger on Virgin flight VA 1139 from Sydney to Ballina on Wednesday, July 14, has tested positive for Covid. Anyone on this flight, which arrived in Ballina at 11.45am, must get tested and isolate for 14 days.

NSW Health has also urged anyone who has been in the Campsie Centre or on Lakemba’s Haldon St over the past 14 days to be especially vigilant for symptoms because of the high number of exposure sites associated with them.

Earlier on Saturday evening, NSW Health issued an urgent virus alert for Sydney cancer hospital Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, deeming it a close contact venue.

People who were at the centre on Tuesday, July 20, should check the lits of areas and times to determine if they are close contacts who neeed to get tested and isolate.

FRIDAY

A disability service in Sydney’s southwest was exposed to Covid over four days last week. It is just one of more than 40 venues of concern released by NSW Health on Friday night.

Bus routes and train lines are also included, and coronvirus fragments have been found at a sewage treatment plant in the Southern Highlands.

A Bunnings Warehouse and a KFC in regional NSW are on alert after being listed among new possible Covid-19 exposure sites.

NSW Health issued an evening alert on Friday for 28 more venues of concern, including the hardware store in Goulburn and fast food restaurant in nearby Marulan.

NSW Health has put out an alert for residents around Byron Bay after coronavirus fragments were found at the sewage treatment plant there.

The plant serves about 19,000 people in Byron Bay, Wategos, Suffolk Park, Sunrise, and Broken Head.

“There are no known cases in this area, which is of great concern,” a spokeswoman for NSW Health said. “Everyone in the area is asked to be especially vigilant for symptoms.”

NSW Health also reminded people in the Greater Sydney region — including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour — and the Orange, Blayney and Caboone local government areas that they must not leave home without a reasonable excuse. “Taking a holiday is not a reasonable excuse,” the spokeswoman said.

Multiple supermarkets, a bottle shop and a number of bus routes have been issued Covid alerts by NSW Health on Monday night.

Earlier on Monday, multiple supermarkets, greengrocers and pharmacies were among the latest Covid alerts.

On Sunday evening, more supermarkets, a medical centre and Parramatta’s Skye Suites were issued Covid alerts.

On Sunday afternoon, a Raglan truck stop, Coles supermarket and multiple bus and train routes were issued Covid alerts.
