There has been no further spread of COVID-19 in the Sofitel Wentworth so far, with NSW recording zero new local cases in the 24 hours to 8pm on Wednesday.
The results came from 14,049 tests.
Authorities are still investigating how a security guard at the Sofitel Wentworth caught the disease, as well as how a returned traveller contracted the virus while at the hotel.
No other returned travellers on the same floor as the initial infected case have tested positive to date. Three new cases were acquired overseas in Thursday’s reporting period.
Meanwhile Premier Gladys Berejiklian has declared she isn’t surprised at delays in the Commonwealth government’s vaccine program.
Ms Berejiklian said the state government must be involved in the federal rollout in order to give everyone access to their first dose by October.
“What is occurring now isn’t surprising to me, or the NSW Government,” she said.
The Premier again called for the federal government to allow state hospitals to continue vaccinating the general public after the NSW rollout was complete.
“We do need to work together, otherwise we won’t reach those targets,” she said.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has previously indicated his government would welcome the involvement of state vaccination hubs in the later phases of the vaccination campaign.
Nearly 45,000 people have so-far received a vaccine dose as part of the state rollout, Ms Berejiklian said on Thursday.
