NSW Health announced 16 new Covid cases this morning — 13 new infections after the 8pm cut off last night — and a range of new restrictions to help limit the spread of the virus across Sydney.

Ten new cases were officially recorded from yesterday’s reporting period — seven of which were revealed by authorities yesterday and three are newly reported.

NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant said the majority of the cases were in isolation before testing positive, however, there were two that were not. Ten of the cases attended a birthday party in West Hoxton.
