UK theme park Alton Towers Resort is on the hunt for a “roller-coaster tester” to test out its six roller-coasters before they open to the public.
The so-called Big Six Challenge includes six of the UK’s biggest roller-coasters: The Smiler, Air, Nemesis, Rita, TH13TEEN and Oblivion.
Alton Towers is running a competition offering the winner entry to the resort “one hour before the public on certain specified dates”, and a year-long annual pass.
Entrants must film a short video explaining why they are a roller-coaster fan and why they should win, and fill out an online application. Entries will be judged by a “panel of roller-coaster experts including legendary designer John Wardley”.
The winner will also be required to blog about their experience as roller-coaster tester. “Blogs will be submitted by the winner to Alton Towers Resort who will then upload to their owned media channels,” the terms and conditions state.
“[The] winner must also agree to media activity, interviews and photography being distributed about winning the competition. Prize will not be issued in the case that winner does not agree.”
