US President Donald Trump has joked about his cameo getting cut from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s version of “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York”, according to the New York Post.
In the uncut version of the hit 1992 film, the main character Kevin, played by a young Macaulay Culkin, asks then-real estate mogul Mr Trump for directions to the lobby of the Plaza Hotel, which Mr Trump had bought in 1988.
“Down the hall and to the left,” Mr Trump responds.
But when CBC aired the film this week, Mr Trump’s star turn was nowhere to be found.
“I guess Justin T doesn’t much like my making him pay up on NATO or Trade!,” Mr Trump tweeted, referring to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
“The movie will never be the same! (just kidding),” Mr Trump added.

Eagle-eyed viewers had blasted the state-owned broadcaster as suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome”, after noticing the US president’s scene missing from the classic 1992 holiday flick when it aired this month.
At least one person also pointed the finger at Mr Trudeau.
“I bet ‘two faced’ Trudeau made the call directly to the @CBC and demanded they cut the scene … or maybe just black it out #DefundCBC,” wrote user @Texas4trump2020.
Mr Trump called Mr Trudeau “two-faced” after the prime minister was caught on video making fun of him to other world leaders earlier this month at the NATO summit in London.
The dig could have also be a reference to Mr Trudeau’s multiple blackface scandals.
Mr Trump seemed quite upset about the edit, tweeting about it three times.

Responding to the outrage, the CBC said the movie wasn’t edited for political purposes, but to allow for commercial breaks.
“As is often the case with features adapted for television, Home Alone 2 was edited to allow for commercial time within the format,” Chuck Thompson, head of public affairs at the CBC, said in a statement.
The edits “were done in 2014 when we first acquired the film and before Mr. Trump was elected president,” the statement said.
