Disney to audition for theme park princesses in Sydney and Brisbane

Australians keen to work for the “happiest place on Earth” now have the chance to audition for Disney theme parks at this week’s casting calls across the country.
Disney’s Shanghai and Hong Kong theme parks have widened the search for princesses to Australia with auditions taking place in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this week.
Prince and princess look-alikes, including those with and without the ability to dance, sing and perform athletically are urged to apply for the once-in-a-lifetime magical experience.
In exchange for featuring in stage shows and special events, the chosen few will receive a “competitive” salary as well as housing and a benefits package.
While auditions in Melbourne wrapped up yesterday, keep your eyes peeled for any future opportunities
All princes and princesses must be aged 18 or over, hold a valid passport and be available to relocate internationally for a seven month contract beginning from mid this year.

BRISBANE
Brisbane princesses-in-waiting, especially those who feel they could embody the roles of Moana, Tiana, Elsa and Rapunzel can audition for an opportunity at Shanghai Disney Resort on Wednesday, May 28 at 9.30am at Morningside’s Kick Dance Studio.
Hong Kong Disney is also searching for their own singers during this joint audition, specifically those from Lion King, 101 Dalmatians and an array of princesses.
But if you thought becoming a princess was the soft life, think again.
Aspiring princesses at this audition must boast a vocal range specific to their chosen character and prepare 16 bars with sheet music.
“Select songs with which you have an organic connection, telling a story that you bring to life in an honest way,” the advertisement suggests.
“Performers should be strong storytellers and demonstrate a strong and dynamic singing voice with vocal and emotional range.”
Brisbane princesses without the gift of song can try their luck at the same time and place the following day on Thursday May 29 for a look-alike casting call.
There’s a third and final opportunity for Brisbane on Saturday May 31 for those looking to relocate to Hong Kong.
As well as princesses, this casting call is also for heroes with women resembling Mirabel, Isabela, Tiana, Moana, Jasmine, Anna, Elsa, Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, Merida, Tinker Bell, Alice, Gamora, Captain Marvel and Black Widow.
The fellas also get a look-in with the search for Captain America, Doctor Strange, Star-Lord, Thor, Loki, Oaken, Kristoff and any Disney Prince.
SYDNEY
In Sydney the search is on for look-alikes from films Avengers, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Black Widow, Brave, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Cinderella, Doctor Strange, Frozen, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Little Mermaid, Moana, Pirates of the Caribbean, Princess and the Frog, Raya and the Last Dragon, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Tangled, Thor, and 101 Dalmatians who want to move to Shanghai.
They are also looking for actors resembling Mirabel, Isabela, Tiana, Moana, Jasmine, Anna, Elsa, Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, Merida, Tinker Bell, Alice, Gamora, Captain Marvel and Black Widow to live in Hong Kong.
Many of the ladies’ roles have very specific height requirements – mostly ranging from 160cm to 173cm.
Prospective Disney actors should report to Co-Lab Quarters in Newtown at 9.30am on Saturday, May 31.
Shanghai Disney is searching for vocally talented Moana, The Princess and the Frog, Frozen, and Tangled cast and Hong Disney is looking for Lion King singers on Sunday June 1 at the same time and place.
